You can plant anything you want in your aquaponic garden. It depends on what you like to eat. Some people will use heat lamps to grow more exotic plants while others will choose plants that grow easily in their area. Ultimately, it is very much a personal choice.

In order to germinate the seeds, you need to sprinkle them over the top of your grow bed medium. Do not push them down into the growing medium—just leave them on top for now. Once the seeds start to sprout and are a couple of inches tall you can then “plant” them in the growing medium. Dig out a small hole in the growing medium and put the seedling, roots and all, into the hole and cover it over.
